Work stress appears in those people who consider the work demands to be greater. In terms of skills, they are unable to face the consequences in the psychophysical and social fields. But the biggest problem is people who suffer from this type of stress, who feel bad both physically and mentally. Too often they prefer to deny this truth or take medication, just to avoid admitting that the problem they have needs to be faced and solved.
WHO BELIEVES THEY HAVE PSYCHOPHYSICAL CONCERNS RELATED TO WHAT THEY EXPERIENCE AT THE WORKPLACE SHOULD REFLECT ON THE FOLLOWING POINTS:
Is it really the workplace that makes you nervous? Am I discharging the tension I accumulate in my private life at work? If so, the problem is not related to work, but to personal problems.
What are the elements that make me nervous? What bothers me? Who or what gives me anxiety? Reflecting on these points allows you to focus on the problem and perhaps gives you the right strength to talk to your superior, colleagues, friends, who can help you overcome this difficulty.
When I leave the office, am I able to leave the problems there? Often, when working in difficult conditions, where there is a lot of tension, leaving these negative feelings outside the door of the house turns into a complex. A tip can be: take a deep breath before you cross the threshold of the house, in order to remove all the feelings that you are overwhelmed with during the day. This ritual must become a daily mental exercise and, like any exercise, must be repeated as often as possible to be effective.
If your work is a source of great stress, we advise you to talk to a psychologist, in order to deal with the heavy emotional burden. In the most extreme cases, employees manage to experience literal panic attacks, if only from a single thought.
If you suffer from work stress, you should start thinking that you are not inadequate, but that the difficult situation can find a solution. You just have to learn and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
