If your shoes smell bad, it can be annoying as well as embarrassing for you, especially when you are surrounded by many people.
How to get rid of the bad smell of your shoes?
Use Baking Soda – Take a coffee filter, a few tablespoons of baking soda and a few drops of essential oils. Pour baking soda and essential oils into the filter and insert into your shoes. Leave it there overnight, until the next day when your shoes won’t smell bad at all.
Allow to dry in the sun – Clean the shoes using a spray or water. Then leave it out in the sunlight for a few hours. Sunlight kills bacteria growth and keeps shoes dry and beautiful. It also helps remove odor from shoes.
Wash your feet – If the problem is not with your shoes but with your feet, then it’s a good idea to start correcting it. Be sure to practice good foot hygiene by washing your feet daily with lukewarm water.
Get a shoe deodorant spray – You can use a shoe deodorant to freshen up your feet and shoes without any hassle. Just take it with you wherever you go. This spray will get rid of foot fungus and prevent bad breath.
Use salt – Shoes and sneakers can smell really bad during the summer season if you don’t wear socks. Salt can absorb moisture from your shoes and get rid of odor, so sprinkle some salt on your shoe. Try this remedy every now and then to keep your shoes fresh.
Freeze Shoes- While you may not be keen on the idea of keeping shoes in the fridge, it works. Put your shoes in a bag and put them in the fridge. Leave them in the fridge overnight. In the morning take it from there and you will notice that your shoes smell fresh.
