Foods with vitamin D that enrich the body

A new study points out that high levels of vitamin D can significantly reduce the risk of diabetes.

The main author of the study, dr. Sue Park, of Seoul National University, says that people with blood vitamin D levels below 30 ng/ml are more at risk of diabetes than those with levels below 50 ng/ml. About 77% of American adults are vitamin D deficient, a figure that has doubled since 1980.

Previous studies have shown that vitamin D strengthens the immune system of people. The main source of vitamin D is undoubtedly the sun. In its absence during the winter, we can also get vitamin D through food.

Some of the foods that contain vitamin D: Milk, tuna fish, fatty fish, eggs and mushrooms.
