For many women the most exciting news in the world is that of becoming a mother. Once upon a time, confirming a pregnancy was not as simple as it is nowadays. Either you had to guess the date of your last period, or go to the doctor for a urine pregnancy test. Although the egg is fertilized immediately after intercourse (if practiced at the time of ovulation), the body realizes this after a week or less.
For this reason, no pregnancy test can be positive until then. Below are some signs that may indicate you are pregnant.
Fatigue – This is one of the first signs of pregnancy. You may feel very tired and sleepy, especially in the mornings.
Changes in the breast – Many women experience great sensitivity in the breast area. They can bite and are sensitive when touched. Also, they can start to grow in size.
Spotting – Even after you have conceived, you may have fewer periods than usual. But they are actually stains. It happens when the embryo is inserted into the uterus.
Increased sense of smell – You will start to smell better. Even the lightest scents can be too strong for you. This can happen mostly with food smells.
Frequent urination – You will start to urinate more often than usual. The amount of urine will also increase.
Bowel Movement – Pregnancy sometimes causes constipation or diarrhea.
You missed your last period – Missing your period is the first concrete sign of pregnancy. Many pregnancy tests show positive, only after the day you expected your period to come.
Feeling sick in the morning – This is not very common, as this symptom usually starts in the sixth week. But some women can experience the sensation of vomiting and dizziness, as early as the third or fourth week of pregnancy.
Neps – You can have neps for some meals. On the other hand, some foods you may hate as soon as you look at them. Eggs, milk and poultry are the foods that pregnant women usually hate.
Stuffy nose – This is a symptom that usually lasts throughout pregnancy. The nasal and sinus area is blocked all the time. But usually there is no mucous collection.
Headaches – Due to fatigue and other morning problems, headaches are common among pregnant women. They can be light or strong.
Swelling – You may experience swelling in your hands and feet. Ankles and wrists may also swell due to increased tension.
Gas – This is a common problem that affects women during pregnancy. The intestines produce more gas than usual. This can be uncomfortable, but try to let the gas out of your body.
Mood swings – The surge in circulating hormones can wreak havoc with your nerves and mood. You will experience many mood swings. Pregnant women can go from happy to upset in minutes.
